Dear Blemfree Reader,
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and that you are enjoying the New Year. It's 2019 and it’s about time we evaluated our skin type closer! There are 5 Skin Types: Sensitive, Combination, Normal, Dry, and Oily/Acne-Prone. Determining your skin type will accelerate the effectiveness of your Blemfree routine and allow you to treat any issues accordingly.
Sensitive skin characteristics: redness and irritation, can be easily inflamed, burning and dryness. Sensitive skin types are recommended to avoid harsh chemicals to keep irritation at bay.
Oily/Acne-Prone skin characteristics: enlarged pores, dull or shiny appearance, blemishes (pustules, blackheads, whiteheads) hyperpigmentation. Oiliness can depend on the time of year and weather. Oily skin can be aggravated by hormonal imbalance, stress, heat and/or too much humidity.
Normal skin characteristics: no or few imperfections, no severe sensitivity, fine pores, glowing complexion. Isn’t this everyone’s goal?! If you’re at this level keep it up! I’m sure this skin type is due to a solid Blemfree routine, a healthy diet, exercise, no smoking and limited drinking. #GOALS
Combination skin characteristics: blackheads, shiny skin- especially in the T-Zone (nose, forehead and chin), pores which are large due to being open. A balanced diet can turn combination skin to normal skin pretty quickly, I promise.
Dry skin characteristics: barely there pores, dull, almost rough complexion, red patches, feeling of tightness in the skin, highly visible lines. MOISTURIZE LIKE IT’S YOUR JOB! And get a humidifier too :)

Blemfreely Yours,
