An Introduction to Using Blemfree

Published by Equibal Labs on Nov 22nd 2017

How's everyone's skin doing today? I know very well how temperamental one's complexion can be, especially with the winter weather here making it's presence known! Today I will be happy to introduce you to the steps of the Blemfree system and how each product works with the next to improve skin texture, clarity and tone. These elements include the cleansing wash concentrate, cleansing spheres, balancer/toner and all-day lotion. Take time to practice some self-care with these delicious-smelling and beautifully effective products! You deserve it.

The first step is the cleansing wash concentrate. Personally, I have a system within this step that helps set up the process. First, I wash my hands well with soap and water. Let me inform you that you MUST wash your face with clean hands. If you don't you're putting more dirt and grime onto your face, which will cause more breakouts. Next, I like to splash some warm (NOT HOT!) water onto my face a few times to make application easier. Sometimes if I notice breakouts or just want a deeper cleansing, I will take a clean washcloth and briefly soak it in very warm water, let it cool off a bit and put it over my face for 1-2 minutes, to open up my pores a little more. Then I use either my hands or a silicone face brush to massage the cleanser all over my face and neck. I do this for at least 30 seconds to up to a minute. Then I rinse with lukewarm water. Your face will feel clean, refreshed and ready for what's next!

The second step is the cleansing spheres. This step is a mild, non-abrasive exfoliation process. Exfoliation is absolutely critical because it helps solve the aftermath of dreaded skin sins like acne and extended time in the sun. Symptoms such as hyper-pigmentation, general scarring, sun damage, etc are significantly reduced and/or erased through exfoliation. It's all about helping the skin smooth itself out nicely. To begin, I simply put the spheres on my fingertips and gently massage them onto my skin. It feels really nice and tickles a bit. Massage for about 1 minute. Rinse off. Your skin will feel renewed and be extremely soft and supple to the touch.

The third step is the balancer/toner. This step is an essential part of any skincare routine as the function of toning is to attract moisture to the skin. It also helps to balance the pH levels of the skin, a crucial aspect. pH balance is the difference between your skin looking like it's glowing or looking dull. My method of applying toner is to pour some onto my hands and to gently pat it on my face and neck with my palms. Usually, people will pour toner into a cotton ball or cotton pad but I believe this causes so much liquid to be left inside the cotton and wastes the product! The pat down feels great and extends that beautiful glow that we've been working towards in this process.

The fourth step is the all-day lotion. Here is where the acne-fighting ingredients are most active. After you've followed all the previous steps, pour a liberal amount of the lotion on to your fingertips and slather it onto your face. You will feel an energizing, cooling sensation on the skin, as the active ingredients work to nourish. This product is definitely a miracle in a bottle because it has prescription strength breakout-preventing elements that work to eliminate blackheads, whiteheads, pustules and cystic acne. I've used OTC products as well as prescription and I have never used a product like the all-day lotion before. It is an exquisite difference-maker in my skincare routine.

To conclude, this is just first step to achieving blemish-free skin. The topical part of is only the first facet of skincare. Furthermore, did you know that what you put in your body is just as important as what you put on your body/skin? Stay tuned!

Blemfreely Yours,

Sabine
